Converting decimals to percents

Decimals to pecents should be easy enough. You just move the decimal to the right two spaces. But if you want the long way, then you have to convert to a fraction first. then you divide or multiply it by a number so that you have a denominator (that's the one on the bottom) of 100. then you take the numerator (on top) and that's your pecent. Here are some examples of both ways:

 

1a).23=23%

 

1b)  .455=45.5%

 

2a) .23=23/100= 23%

 

2b) .0045= 45/10000=.45/100=.45%
