Converting fractions to decimals

Page history last edited by Pandor A. Box 2 yrs ago

Here are the two steps that get you through converting fractions to decimals:

  1. first look at the fraction
  2. next take the numerator and divide it by the denominator

                         Here are some examples:

                                   3/4= 3 divided by 4= .75

  1. another way is to convert the fraction to a fraction with the denominator of 10, 100, 1000, ect.
  2. then read the fraction and turn it into that decimal

          Example:   2/5=4/10=.4
