Converting fractions to percents

Page history last edited by WolfGirl 2 yrs ago

Here is how to convert fractions to percents.

  • Make the fraction into an equivalent fraction with the denominator of 100, by multiplying the numerator and denominator by a number that will make the denomintar 100.
  • The numerator of this new fraction is the percent, so like in the example below the percent is 16, so that was the numerator of the fraction.
  • Example:

4/25 25*4=100  4*4=16 NEW FRACTION IS 16/100  PERCENT IS 16%
